Pastor George Lawson Jr.
Senior Pastor
Pastor George was born and raised in Albany, New York. The Lord graciously confronted George’s hypocrisy and hopes in false religion during his college years, and gave him a passion to see lives transformed by the word of God. After relocating to Maryland, he attended Hope Bible Church, where he began to teach weekly Bible classes, preach in the senior pastor’s absence, lead a small group and serve as the Outreach Coordinator. During this time, he also studied at Washington Bible College, where he received a B.A. in Bible and Theology (2006). After earning his degree, he moved to Southern California to pursue an M. Div. from the Master’s Seminary (2010). While there, he served as vice president for the student body and as a deacon and lay leader at Grace Community Church in Sun Valley, CA. Upon graduation from The Master’s Seminary, George joined the staff of The Bible Church of Little Rock, as an associate pastor. He also had the privilege of founding SCATTER (a local neighborhood outreach). In 2012, George moved back to Maryland to establish Baltimore Bible Church which officially launched in July 2013. George’s primary ministries include expository preaching, the supervision and development of Baltimore Bible Church, the training of leaders and the shepherding of the members at BBC. George and his wife Jennifer have been married since 1998, and have had the joy of raising three children: Charis, Micah and Kara.
Jeff Weaver
Elder
Jeff was born and raised in Towson, MD in a non-Christian but loving home. Upon entering high school, his sin of pride manifested in a self-declared identity as an atheist, who felt Christianity was an empty religion, and that he would rather live for the approval of others and his own selfish desires, than for God. Through the ministry of Young Life, he was introduced to Jesus Christ and was born-again at Frontier Ranch in Colorado, in June 1996. He vividly recalls looking at the moonlit sky after hearing the gospel, being convicted of His sin against a just and patient God, being broken over the costly sacrifice of Christ in his place, and turning to Jesus as Savior and Lord.
During his high school and college years, discipleship through older godly men brought further growth and a love for God and His mission in this world to make disciples of the nations. The expositional preaching ministries of Tommy Nelson and John MacArthur grew Jeff’s desire to know and practice the Word of God and 9Marks ministry deepened his understanding and zeal for the importance and priority of the local church in God’s plan.
Jeff is grateful to the Lord for his role at BBC in discipleship and the administration of current and newly developing ministries. He is also thankful to the Lord for his ministry as a trained Physician Assistant, now working as a Clinical Director for a company that serves those with complex disease. He married his friend and greatest ministry partner, Carrie, in 2004, and they have six children whom they love to share in life together under the Lordship of Christ.

Glen Currie
Elder
Glen was born and raised in southeastern Michigan. He was blessed by God’s kind providence and marvelous grace to be raised in a solid Christian home and attended a Bible believing church. His life was saturated with the Gospel—by word and deed. At around the age of 7, Glen distinctly remembers on a Sunday evening being convicted of his sin and putting his faith in Christ alone.
After graduating from college in 1976, Glen began serving on the staff at his home church, Inter-City Baptist Church, Allen Park, Michigan. The same year he enrolled in Detroit Baptist Seminary and graduated in 1982 with his M. Div. Then in May 1987 the Lord led Glen and his family to Maranatha Baptist Church in Clarkston, Michigan. Glen served as Sr. Pastor until August 2016 when he became Assistant Pastor.
Glen retired from Maranatha in December 2021 so he and Sue could move to be closer to family and grandchildren in the Baltimore area. The Curries began attending Baltimore Bible Church in January 2022. In January 2023, Glen joined the staff at BBC serving as Director of Family and Visitation. Glen and Sue were married in August 1976 and God has blessed them with three children, Scott, Kristin, and Laura and eight grandchildren.

David Lupinetti
Pastor of Discipleship/Counseling and Ministry Development
David was born and raised in Frederick, MD. The Lord irresistibly saved David in 2011 upon graduating with a B.S. in Finance from Salisbury University. David then worked at PCA (Timonium, MD) and Fannie Mae in Corporate Finance (Washington, D.C.) for the next 6 years. While growing and serving in the local Church, David felt the calling to be trained for full-time vocational ministry. David began attending The Master's Seminary in Washington, D.C. (2016) while working full-time at Fannie Mae, and then moved to Los Angeles (2017) to complete his M.Div. at The Master’s Seminary in 2019. After graduating, David worked as an Associate Pastor in Michigan at Bloomfield Hills Baptist Church (2019-2021), before being ordained (2021) and sent to Arizona to serve as an Associate Pastor with Pastor Clay Miller in Arizona (2021-2025). In Feb 2024, David helped Pastor Clay Miller lay the foundation to plant Faith Bible Church in Queen Creek, AZ. David will be serving the Bride of Christ at Baltimore Bible Church through Biblical Counseling, Discipleship, and Ministry Development. David is a Level II Certified Biblical Counselor through The Association of Certified Biblical Counselors (ACBC). His writing can be seen at The Good Fight Ministries and G3 Ministry. David also has a passion for tennis and taught for The Naval Academy, The Paseo Club, and Life Time. He is married to his wonderful wife Ana Luiza, who is also passionate about Biblical Counseling. Ana Luiza is originally from Brazil…they love a good churrasco. Together, they have two wonderful boys: Benjamin and Rafael. His favorite Bible verse is Mt. 28:18-20.
Chuck Brooks
Director of Ministry
Chuck was born on a military base as his father was in Air Force – he spent his first years in upstate, NY. His mother brought he and his siblings back to Baltimore when she and his father separated and divorced. They lived in the Cherry Hill Projects before finding a home in West Baltimore. In the late 60’s, crime and drugs were rampant but “fear of Mom” kept Chuck away from many bad influences. As he grew up in a single-parent home…men in his life were not examples of godliness. Chuck witnessed some of them abuse his mother…one even tried to kill her. He experienced loneliness, insecurity, pain and immorality. Church was interesting, when attended, but no one approached him with the Gospel.
Chuck was about to leave for college in another state when his Aunt Annette stopped by his home to give him the Gospel…the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 15:1-3). He trusted in Christ as his Savior and Lord. God used challenges in Chuck’s life to grow and call him to the church planting ministry with a passion to see the Word of God taught expositionally, and the biblical model of the family restored. The Lord called Chuck to plant and pastor a church in 1994 and in 2022 he was called to serve as Ministry Director at Baltimore Bible Church.
Chuck and Debbie have been married almost 45 years. They have seven daughters and one son. Their children have blessed them with 21 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Eli Jackson
Pastoral Intern
Eli Jackson was born and raised in Baltimore, MD. The majority of his life, he was brought up going to church and serving in various capacities in his teenage years. However, his heart was not regenerated and was under the impression that he was saved because he said the sinner's prayer as a child. He lived in habitual hidden sin and his false security in his spiritual condition allowed him to suppress the truth in unrighteousness for years.
In the early 2000's Eli developed an affinity for the performing arts and decided to continue a career in acting by moving to Los Angeles. In God's providence, it was in Los Angeles that Eli would find his wife, Samantha in an acting class, and both of them would experience a conviction of sin and fear of judgment with God. His false security began to erode under the weight of a truth that he could suppress no longer. In 2008, Eli came across the "Shocking Youth Message" by Paul Washer on YouTube, and for the first time, his ears and heart were opened by the gospel. What made the most impact on his understanding was Paul Washer’s explanation of Is. 53, especially vs 6 “All of us like sheep have gone astray, Each of us has turned to his own way; But Yahweh has caused the iniquity of us all To fall on Him. (Is. 53:6 LSB) Eli repented of his sins, God gave him a new heart with new desires followed by an abandonment of the world. Eli and Samantha both shared these experiences. They followed Christ together and married in 2009.
Fascinated by the power of the gospel to save souls and change hearts, Eli studied evangelism and would preach the gospel to random people. He and Samantha joined Grace Community Church in Sun Valley, CA in 2011 and he began serving in various capacities; teaching a Bible study and doing street evangelism. The same year, Eli met Pastor George Lawson at a meeting at The Master's Seminary and they stayed in touch, getting his mother and grandmother connected to BBC when it was starting to develop. With a growing conviction to shepherd people and plant a church, Eli started pursuing his Masters of Divinity at The Master's Seminary in 2017 and began a career in financial services. Several years later, Eli and George began discussing the potential of them working together to plant a sister church in Baltimore City. Shortly after, Eli, Samantha, and their daughter Eliyanah relocated back to Baltimore to join BBC and serve.
Eli is a financial advisor for a financial planning firm, and currently leads the Scatter Outreach Team and the City Small Group. He also serves in the word of God along with other ministers on Sundays at BBC. Eli has also launched a bi-weekly outreach Bible study in Baltimore City that he hopes will become the seedlings of a potential church plant in the Bolton Hill/Reservoir Hill Communities.
Brandon Conroy
Director of Music Ministry
Brandon was born and raised here in Maryland. He came to know Christ as Lord and Savior at a young age, and gradually grew in his understanding and maturity over the years. As a young adult, Brandon began serving in the youth ministry and music ministry of his family’s church. In 2003, he became a member of Hope Bible Church where he received much mentoring and shepherding from the late Pastor Tom Leake. He was privileged to serve there as a deacon and leader of music ministry until transferring to Baltimore Bible Church in 2023.
Brandon is passionate about the use of music for helping God’s people to collectively worship Him “in spirit and truth” (John 4:24) – meaning that worship should not only be characterized by passion and fervor, but must also be firmly grounded in the truth of God’s holy Word. This kind of worship is both glorifying to God and edifying and encouraging to His people.
Brandon works full-time as a competitive intelligence analyst for a large defense contractor, and along with his wife Emilee, helps to run Grace Academy, a Christian homeschool tutorial program in Elkridge, MD. Brandon and Emilee live in Jessup, Maryland along with their four children, Liam, Liana, Larissa and Laila.

Danny Hicks
Deacon
Danny was born and raised in Baltimore Maryland. He was placed into Child Protective Services at birth and by God’s grace was eventually adopted into the home of a loving family. He was educated in the Baltimore City Public School system. From childhood throughout his teenage years, he attended church with his mother and brothers every Sunday but was absent of a personal saving relationship with Jesus Christ. Long after becoming an adult, by the grace of God, his stony heart was softened, he placed faith in Christ and joined a local church. Desiring to learn more about God, he attended bible school. The first was Family Bible Ministries Worldwide and then he attended Baltimore School of the Bible, where he graduated in 2008. He has since served as an assistant with teaching new members class, street evangelism outreach, led men’s ministry, served as a small group leader, led the audio ministry, as well as many other areas of ministry needs. He and his family are part of the core group of members that helped plant Baltimore Bible Church in 2013. Danny has been married to Annette, the love of his life, since 1996 and they are blessed with their son Danny Jr.
Dean Landers
Deacon
Dean was born and raised in Baltimore. He is the fifth of eight children born to Joe and Janet Landers. He was raised Catholic and started attending an evangelical protestant church in the mid 80’s, coming to a full understanding of the gift of faith and salvation in Christ in 1988. Dean attended several churches, serving in various leadership positions, including small group leader, men’s ministry, HS ministry, bible study, discipleship, prayer, single adult ministry, children’s ministry, locations director, and more. Dean’s passion is prayer, mentoring and discipleship. Dean began attending Hope Bible Church in 2012 with the intention of joining Baltimore Bible Church with George Lawson as the senior pastor. Dean is the founder and president of Landers Appliance, Inc. and is heavily involved in the appliance service industry on a national level. Dean and his wife Tricia have been married since 1996, with 4 adult children, Tim (and his wife Jen), Josh (and his wife Nicole), Alecia (and her husband Chip) and Giaci (and her husband Joe) and is now blessed beyond measure with many grandchildren.
Larry Williams
Deacon
Larry was born and raised in Baltimore Maryland. He is the fourth of five children born to James and Blanche Williams. He came to realize his need for salvation during his late teenage years and was led to Christ by his older sister Cheryl Torain. After being delivered from financial mismanagement of God’s resources, God gave him a passion for teaching Christian Financial Concepts, whose founder and president was the late Larry Burkett. During his many years of knowing Jesus Christ as Savior, he has served in his previous churches as adult Sunday school teacher, Deacon, Youth Teacher and Counselor, Street Evangelism outreach coordinator and more. He and his wife Crystal are part of the core group of members that helped to plant Baltimore Bible Church in 2013. Larry retired as a master sergeant from the United States Air Force Reserves after 28 years of honorable service. He also retired from the Social Security Administration after 43 years of public service. Larry and Crystal have been married since 1978 and have had the joy and pleasure of raising two children, Larry Jr., and Erica.
Greg Ziegler
Deacon
Greg was born in Baltimore, Maryland. He is the youngest of six children. His father received Christ when he was 40 years old, the same year Greg was born. His father worked shift work and made sure he and his children attended church when his work schedule allowed. Greg heard the gospel but was never convicted of his sin and the need to repent and receive Christ. In his junior year of high school, Greg’s mother was diagnosed with breast cancer and given nine months to live. Up to this point he was very satisfied with his life and never contemplated why he was here. Instead of dealing with the pain Greg unconsciously decided to out run it and to fill his life with sin and a lot of activities. His mom lived for 5 years and passed away when he was 21. This forced him to stop and evaluate his life. Through the influence of a man in Navigators who put time into him, he became convicted of his sin, and put his faith and trust in Jesus Christ to save him. Greg started attending morning and evening Sunday services at Perry Hall Baptist where he met his wife, Kathleen. Greg and Kathy have been married for 44 years and have 4 children and 12 grandchildren.
At Perry Hall Baptist, Greg served as a Deacon and he and Kathy led several groups through the Navigators 2-7 course over 10 years. While at Perry Hall Baptist, Greg was exposed to Calvinist doctrine and expository preaching. This led him to be an avid follower of John MacArthur’s ministry. Greg got a job in Washington DC and moved to Howard County in 1996 and attended Chapelgate Presbyterian Church. Hearing of Pastor Tom Leake, a Master’s Seminary graduate, Greg and Kathy began attending Hope Bible Church, where Tom Leake pastored. At Hope Bible, Greg and Kathy did leadership training, led a small group and ran the Resource Center. When first attending Hope Bible, they became a part of George and Jennifer Lawson’s small group. After George went to seminary and returned to Baltimore to plant a church, Greg and Kathy became a part of the new church. They currently lead a small group. Kathy teaches a Senior Saint women's Bible Study and Greg is involved in church finances.
Greg is currently retired after over 40 years serving in leadership capacity in the Healthcare industry and is looking forward to how the Lord will use him in the coming years.

Jon Stitzinger
Deacon
Jon was blessed by God’s gracious providence to be raised in a Christian home where the Scriptures were faithfully taught and lived out. He came to faith in Christ at an early age. His father served for many years at The Master’s Seminary, where Jon grew up under the faithful expository preaching of John MacArthur and developed a deep love for God’s Word. Through the years, the Lord also used the preaching and personal discipleship of Pastor Thomas Leake to deepen Jon’s love for Christ, His church, and biblical ministry.
The Lord graciously led Jon and his family to Baltimore Bible Church, where they found a congregation committed to expository preaching, sound doctrine, and genuine love for one another. Jon oversees special events and conferences and leads the church’s safety and security ministry, counting it a privilege to serve alongside the elders, deacons, and members of the church.
Jon also serves as Executive Director of The Master’s Fellowship Mid-Atlantic, Director of Discover Hope Today, and on the board of Always Ready Ministries. Outside of ministry, he has served his community as a first responder and flight paramedic and owns and operates businesses in the Baltimore–Washington region, seeking to honor Christ through faithful service and stewardship.
Jon and his wife are grateful to call Baltimore Bible Church their church home and consider it a joy to raise their family in the fear and admonition of the Lord.

Phil Racer
Deacon
Phil was born and raised in Catonsville, MD by God's grace grew up in the household of a pastor. Although he was faithfully taught the Word of God, and hit all of the external markers for a believer, he had never truly placed his trust in Christ for salvation, and a bitterness toward the things of God, and a desire to live for self was brewing. In 2005, while reading 2 Timothy 3 where it talks about "those who hold to a form of godliness but have denied its power" he was convicted that the faith the held to was simply for show and had no truth to it.
After high school while attending Word of Life Bible Institute, Phil came to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ and truly began to grow in his new found faith and develop a true fear of God and a genuine desire to serve Him and His people. He later finished his degree in Biblical Studies at Liberty University, and over the years has been able to put that knowledge to good use serving in various church ministries, primarily with children and youth.
At Baltimore Bible Church, Phil is honored to lead the children's ministry where he has a passion to see the church evangelize and disciple the young mission field within their own four walls, and to encourage the parents as they seek to raise their children in the fear and discipline of the Lord.
