Dear BBC Family,

Next Thursday, October 31, marks the 502nd anniversary of the start of the Protestant Reformation.  October 31, 1517 was the day that Martin Luther nailed his 95 Theses to the chapel door in Wittenberg, Germany.  (To learn more about Reformation Day, follow this link: https://www.ligonier.org/blog/what-is-reformation-day/).

The 62nd of these 95 Theses reads, “The true treasure of the Church is the Most Holy Gospel of the glory and the grace of God.”[1]

We want to encourage you to join us in giving thanks to God for this, our greatest treasure, the Gospel of Jesus Christ!  May the Lord strengthen us to continue to increase in our understanding of His infinite worth and the salvation that He has provided for us through His Gospel! (see Matthew 13:44-46; Eph. 3:14-21; Phil. 3:7-11; 2 Pet. 3:18)

  • This article will give you an opportunity to learn about another Reformer who you may have never heard of before: Thomas Becon (c. 1512 – 1567).  In this article, you will learn why the author of this article identifies him as “The Monday Morning Protestant” and how that the theology that he taught and promoted can help you in your daily walk with Christ: https://www.desiringgod.org/articles/the-monday-morning-protestant
