The Shout Worthy Greatness of God

Psalm 100 is a call for Israel to offer up praise and thanksgiving to God. In it they were exhorted to “Shout joyfully to the LORD, all the earth”. In verse 3 we see why “Come before Him with joyful singing”. The LORD Himself is God; It is He who has made us and not we ourselves. The God of Israel is the one true God. He is the Holy creator and giver of life, He is the One who has made us to be the sheep of His pasture. In verse 5 the Psalmist gives the second reason “For the LORD is good; His loving kindness is everlasting And His faithfulness to all generations”. In 2 Timothy 1:9 The Apostle Paul reminds Timothy that God has not saved us because of anything of our deeds, but according to His own purpose and grace from all eternity. As we come together to worship this Great and Glorious God who is our King let us

Shout to The Lord all the Earth, let us sing

Power and Majesty, praise to the King

Mountains bow down and the seas will roar

At the sound of Your Name

A Love For The Unlovely

We were blessed to hear a message from Hosea 1 last week by Pastor Arch. Hosea’s marriage to an unfaithful Gomer is a portrait of God’s faithfulness to an unfaithful nation of Israel which had forsaken their covenant keeping God, to worship the false gods the heathen nations around them worshiped.

Likewise, we were wandering sheep and had gone chasing after the worldly pleasures that our wicked hearts desired (1 Peter 2:25a). We were disobedient and even ignorant of the fact that we were guilty of breaking the Law of God in Exodus 20. The love and grace of God came into our sinful hearts and made them come alive so we could hear the effectual call of the Shepherd and Guardian of our souls (1 Peter 2:25b). We can then turn in repentance and faith to believe the Gospel. Only then can we experience the love of God

Here is love, vast as the ocean, loving kindness as a flood:

When the Prince of Life, our ransom, shed for us His precious blood.

Who His love will not remember? Who can cease to sing His praise?

He can never be forgotten throughout heaven’s eternal days.

Let me, all Your love accepting, love You ever all my days

Let me seek Your kingdom only and my life be to your praise

You alone shall be my glory; nothing in the world I see.

You have cleansed and sanctified me You Yourself have set me free.

A New Love That is Responsive

As new creatures in Christ (2Corinthians 5:17), we experience the limitless love of God as we are being sanctified and conformed into the image of our Lord Jesus Christ. We now have a new confidence to come before the throne of God Hebrews 10:19-25. We also experience a new love for our brothers and sisters in the body of Christ. As we worship Sunday my prayer is that each of us would seek out someone new to engage with and encourage (1 John 4: 7-21).

Your blood has washed away my sin Jesus, thank You!

The Father’s love completely satisfied Jesus thank You!

Once your enemy, now seated at Your Jesus thank You!

Just one final reminder. We will be coming to the communion table to remember the Lord and to proclaim His death until He returns this Sunday after the message. Let us examine our hearts and confess any sins we may be harboring in our lives as we

Behold The Lamb

So we share in this bread of life, and we drink of His sacrifice.

As a sign of our bonds of peace around the table of the King.

As we share in His suffering, we proclaim Christ will come again!

And we’ll join in the feast of heaven around the table of the King.
