As we enter into this holiday season, we wanted to highlight a few upcoming events for you.
Please prayerfully consider the following opportunities for fellowship, worship, and edification (please note that for some of these events there are additional details and sign-ups provided in the announcements further down in this email):
- This Sunday, Nov. 24, 6:00pm – Joint Thanksgiving Service – For those who are interested, there will be a Joint Thanksgiving Service at Bethel Baptist Church in Glen Burnie, MD. Some of us have participated in these services in the past. If you would like to attend, you are welcome to bring a food item but it is not necessary. The sign-up link is below. Please note that we will still be holding the Preparation for Ministry meeting at FTS at 7:00pm.
- Sunday, Dec. 1, 9:00am (at FTS) – Guest speaker: Jordan Standridge. – We will have the privilege of hearing from our friend Jordan. He currently serves at Immanuel Bible Church in Springfield, VA as the Associate Pastor of Evangelism and is in the process of raising support and making preparations for their ministry in Rome, Italy. You can learn more about Jordan & Jenny Strandrige’s plans for ministry in Italy and how you can support them at the websites below. But even better than these websites, come and hear from Jordan IN PERSON at this special Sunday School class!
- Wednesday, Dec. 4 at 7:00pm (at FTS), Christmas Concert with Todd Murray – Todd Murray, Pastor of Family Ministries at Grace Immanuel Bible Church, Jupiter, FL, will present a Christmas Concert entitled Voices of Christmas. Todd began his ongoing tradition of composing annual Christmas songs in 1985. Each of the songs is based on biblical passages displaying the wonder of Christ’s incarnation, and many of them portray biblical characters from the nativity portions of the Gospels. The Voices of Christmas is a concert featuring a selection of those songs which have been given as gifts to children, grandchildren, and close friends over the last three decades.
May God be glorified as we continue to serve Him in faith and with hearts overflowing with thanksgiving to Him!
In Christ alone,
